Boosting cREative induSTries in urbAn Regeneration for a stronger Danube region

RESTART_4Danube will support innovative public policies through policy documents mainly focused on supporting

innovative SMEs in the field of CCIs to have a stronger orientation towards business-to-business markets. It will improve

framework conditions through a smart guide, a policy booklet & reports on the role of CCIs in economic, social and

physical regeneration & on factors determining spatial distribution of CCIs in urban regions.

The project main result will be significantly improved cooperation & coordination of UR policies on a transnational

political level due to 5 thematic LAPs in Craiova, Maribor, Rijeka, Sarvar & Vratsa (New spaces for experimentation in CCI

sector, Sustainable regeneration of industrial buildings, Transit-oriented development, Refurbishing heritage buildings,

Green UR).

25 partners from 11 countries will support RESTART_4Danube’s main objective to improve the framework conditions & policy

instruments supporting S3 for a new model of UR involving CCIs. The project includes quadruple helix partnership to develop

new types of governance & public policies in an innovative approach combining tandems & follower cities.

The envisaged result is significantly improved transnational & institutional cooperation, enhanced capacity building thanks to

Local Action Plans (LAPs) & innovative trainings in UR. The activities will produce 10 outputs improving innovative framework

conditions in UR (SO 1.1): 1 common strategy, 1 training toolkit, 5 LAPs, 1 package of cooperation agreements between

entreprises/R&D, 1 set of tools (SO, SR, Readiness Level tool).
