Cahul’s Experience, Highlighted in an International Study on Technology Transfer and Innovation

Cahul is consolidating its presence in international initiatives dedicated to the development of innovation and technology transfer. The Manager of the  Business Incubator Cahul, Artur Nebunu, on 6 August 2026, participated in an academic research interview conducted at the request of the Rudolfovo – Novo mesto Science and Technology Centre, in Slovenia.

The interview is part of a research study that analyzes how projects and initiatives supporting technology transfer and innovation contribute to organizational development, strengthening cooperation between institutions, and transforming innovation ecosystems.

The research focuses on the institutional legacy created by the activities and projects supporting technology transfer implemented in the Danube Region and in other European regions. Within the study, the practices, collaboration networks, competencies, and knowledge developed through projects are analyzed, as well as how these are subsequently taken over, adapted, and utilized by organizations.

In this context, the experience of professionals directly involved in the development of local innovation ecosystems represents an important source of information for the research. Through his experience in the field of technology transfer, innovation support, and the development of the entrepreneurial environment, Artur Nebunu was invited to contribute to the study conducted by the Novo mesto Science and Technology Centre.

During the semi-structured interview, he presented the experience accumulated in implementing and supporting innovation initiatives, as well as perspectives on how projects and inter-institutional collaborations can generate results and competencies that continue to be utilized even after the completion of the projects.

Participation in this research offers the  Business Incubator Cahul  opportunity to share the experience accumulated at the local level within an international framework and contributes to promoting the practices and lessons learned from the entrepreneurial and innovation ecosystem of the Cahul region.

The study of the Novo mesto Science and Technology Centre essentially aims to highlight how technology transfer and innovation projects can produce long-term effects through the development of organizations, strengthening collaboration networks, and creating more resilient and connected innovation ecosystems.

Through participation in this academic endeavor, Cahul’s experience becomes part of broader research on the impact and continuity of European initiatives supporting innovation and technology transfer.
